That sucks all the way around. We made a 2 into 1 pipe that had a baffle and was legal. (I don’t have any left.)

One thing to try is a any old Vengeance, Big Dog or Ironhorse dealer. All the bikes came with legal pipes and the dealers would take them off and sell other pipes. You may find a used legal set in their take-off parts bin.

Thank you guys for the fast response had a lot going on today… i believe i have the desperado pipes but i dont see how you can put a baffle in them? when i was pulled over that was the only thing she stoped me for. i was reading about the sb-435… and it was saying that i needed to be pulled over for doing something wrong like speeding… she said she didnt need a DB tester, she said that i would have to prove it to the judge. i would have to take my bike to a place where they test them but she had no clue where to have me go. CA is a pain in the ASS! and i have my bike registered in AZ if it helps any.

    Thank you

All the California beach communities ticket for loud pipes. Keep the RPM’s under 2K when cruisin by the coast. If you have the Samson Desperado pipes you can install baffles. If you have the 2-1 Area 51 pipe you should repack the baffle. The 113’s don’t like baffles and will start to load up and run hot. Take the baffles out after you get the ticket signed off.

Today i was cited for excessive noise on my bike on Coronado(San Diego)Ca. It’s the pipes that came with the bike when built… so i was wondering what to do or if anyone had any similar problems… Thanks

Not sure we ever installed that design of pipe… but there were a few odd balls that got out of the factory.

About 3 years ago my old man calls me up and tells me he found this bike at a car dealership. Some one traded this bike in on a truck it only had 950 miles on it we picked it up for 13,500. I would say thats a hell of a deal for this awesome ass bike i have been in love with it since the first time i rode it. Just the other day i noticed the welds on the exhaust pipe where cracked were the mount is and the lower pipe is cracked from the weld around the pipe that is really the only prob i have had o and is was blowin head lights but i got that fixed. Im not sure but will any pipes fit on there im not sure what or wont fit if any one could help that would be great thanks

Cant get the pic to upload, but its a single outlet pipe. The 2 branches mix together into a single outlet pipe.

    I have 2 questions.
I have a Banshee, and the exhaust endcap has fallen out of the exhaust while I was riding.

Question 1 is what brand is the exhaust so I can order the endcap? (I have tried going to RamJet – no luck there)

Question 2 Is there a baffel that goes inside the exhaust pipe that the endcap holds in, if so where can i get that as well?

    Thanks

    Another email question…

I am in the process of rebuilding an ’05 Raider that had been neglected for awhile and had a couple of questions for you.

I need a gasket for the front brake master cyclinder(replating), do you know who the manufacturer was?

I am also replacing the orginal exhaust system and I know they were Sampson Rip Saws, do you know if it matters if they are ’99 and down or for newer softails. I spoke to a guy at Sampson and he was not real helpful.

    Yeah thats how it came.

on the opposite side i have the straight pipes (exhaust) that curve out at the very end (not the 2 to 1 pipes).

One of the mirrors actually vibrated apart so I only have one on there right now. I havent bothered to fix it because if I go with the jockey i get a new mirror (j brake makes an old style round one that clamps on)

The sissy bar I want is from choppers inc, the bobzilla. check it out, its pretty cool.

I want to change the exhaust on my widow i am actually looking at a set of detroit Brother pipes which are real short and the current pipes which came on my widow are real long with an upsweep at the end. It is as easy as just bolting them on or would i need the bike tuned for the new pipes. Any info would help.

    Topic: SuperTrapp Exhaust Mounting Bracket

in forum Parts & Technical Info
    Started by: @unknown

    Stephen,

I received the SuperTrapp exhaust from hitman but there are no spacers for the mounting bracket to the transmission. Ive attached a photo (I hope it shows up as I cant see it in preview mode) showing the spacers still on hitmans bike plus the pipe and bracket, are these spacers from SuperTrapp or were they fabricated for Vengeance?

I assume they can be removed but hitman wants to be sure that they can be replaced with standard allen head bolts before he feels comfortable taking them off and sending them to me.

In case there is a fitment issue, he has an 04 Vindicator and I have an 03 Vendetta.

    Thanks in advance,

    Rick.

    Stephen,

I was looking at the Bassani as well as the Vance and Hines Big Radius and the Hooker Troublemakers. Decided for now to buy the SuperTrapp 2 into 1 pipe from hitman. I dont necessarily need to reduce sound as much as reduce the cackle when backing off the throttle. These pipes should also improve performance some what, not that a 113CI engine needs much of a performance boost.

    Rick.
