    Stephen,

Thanks for the reply. I spoke with Hitman about his pipes and he clued me in to the offset being solely on the left side of the bike. I did not notice that at all, or course Ive only had this beauty for 2 weeks now.

S&S recommends Python 3 or RevTech staggered duals for optimum performance but they both look stock and would take away from the custom look of the bike. I love the sound of the straights but I need to quiet it down a bit so I dont wake up my kids leaving to work. I may look at the 2 into 1 supertrapps or another tuned header/muffler cartridge setup.

    Rick.

Im looking to upgrade pipes also but Im wondering if the 250mm rear will interfere with most aftermarket pipes. From what I see most brands list pipes for 84-06 softails and then a few will have listings for 300mm tires/frames but no mention of 250mm. Will the normal pipes for a softail from say Hooker or Vance and Hines work on the 250 frame?

Thanks,

Rick.

    Stephen,

Thanks for the tip on the softail style pipes for left side drive. I purchased the Vance and Hines Big Radious and they look great on the bike. If you are still looking for a set of 2 into 1s for your bike, I am looking to get rid of the ones I took off. They are Super Trap and have less than 500 miles on them. Let me know if you are intersted and send a contact number and we can discuss a price.

Left-side drive bikes are softail. Rightside drive are… there is no specification so… make sure they are pipes that will fit a right-side drive bike.

I have a few sets of LSD Sampson Big Gun Desperados left and a couple of the short Sinners. I can also get the 2-into-1 RSD pipe.

My current drama is Im trying to get a set of 2into1 LSD pipes made and cant get the fab shop to make 1 set of heat shields. They are kind of used to getting orders for 25 at a time, go figure.

It’s probably designed after a soft tail. I am not sure though. I have a warrior that I have to buy pipes for. I think when you order them you need to specify if it is a right side drive or left side drive.

I jsut purchased an 04 Vindicator and would like to change the exhaust from a 2 into 1 to a set of Vance and Hines “Big Radious”. When purchasing new pipes, what syle Harley do you purchase the pipes for?

Im sure someone makes them just be careful not to get solid ones or you might get a big surprise of the first corner.

The most common question is how do I move them closer. The answer to that is change your forward controls. If you have accutronix, they are pretty far out. There is a company in CA Billet Concepts that makes a set that were 1″ higher and 1″ back that we used on the Widow thats as close as you can get before you run into the exhaust pipe. Also for the Banshees we make a push set which moves you forward a couple inches.

The 2into1 exhausts were manufacturered by “Area P” they are a specialty fab shop in So Cal. They are not actually in exhaust mfg business, their specialty was baffles. THey made the 80db baffle that made those pipes legal.

If you still have your shield replate/refurbish it. If you need someone to make a shield contact Steve at Torres Cycle. Theyve fabbed our exhaust systems for the past two years.
