Jim , had talked with you last year , you said bike mite have wrong pressure plate , how much is the rite one ? And can the plate be removed without a press ? how should i go about ordering a plate ? Thanks Gary
You need the silver pressure plate instead of the black one. Also, the Primo Rivera pressure plate doesn’t work as well as the other version on the market. No press required just a couple of hand tools. I’ll have to see if the other pressure plates are still available. If not you can get one from Primo Rivera. Last time I picked one up it was about $25.
When you replace or check your pressure plate you may want to pull out the friction and steel clutch plates and inspect the splines on the inside of the hub. As they wear you’ll start to get grooves in the splines from the friction plates. If yours is like this it causes the plates to stick and not release smoothly.
Jim , let me know if you can get the parts and how much it is and how to make arrangements to get them , thanks Gary
