Hey Guys I have to buy a battery before this spring. I keep it on a trickle charger but after I start it first time (and I have 1 shot about 3 – 5 seconds worth) then if I don’t ride for 45+ minutes before stopping I have to push it off to restart. 2005 Banshee looking for best brand, type, any suggestions you have just want the best out there. Thanks
loop-single-reply.phpJanuary 24, 2010 at 12:16 am #2279We used the Drag Specialties and Interstate batteries. Life is usually 3 years. Always use the trickle charger and keep your terminal posts tight (every couple of rides).

Thank you, Stephenloop-single-reply.phpMay 11, 2010 at 6:49 pm #2344I heard from a couple of buddies and they swear by “Big Boar” batteries. Since I bought my bike 1.5 yrs ago (used). I have always felt iffy about my battery if it did not catch on the 1st or 2nd try. Not sure if it is stock or not but I always kept it on a trickle charge. I checked out the “big Boar” website and did some research. I spoke with a guy from S&S and he said that a 113ci engine needs a good 300 cold cranking amps to start. If your regular / standard battery is lower than 12.5v, you may at some point have issues. He even reccomended big boar. The battery that I got has 350 cold cranking amps., so that leaves plenty of lee-way. Keep in mind that they are a little pricey but, it is worth it to have that reassurance. I was always afraid to take small trips, not anymore! I was blown away when I started it up for the first time. I pressed the start button just once and a strong turn over started up the bike. Very happy with it!! good luck
