While riding with some friends I have discovered that when I press the foot/rear brake no brake lights come on only when I engage the front brakes do the lights come on. Is this the way the bike is wired or do I have a loose wire or bad switch?
Thanks
I just bought an 05 and found the wiring a mess. I ran everything and even bought some new switches. Then I found that when you pull the front brake it sometimes works and sometimes doesnt. The switch on the hand controls is opened when you brake. I found that the lever doesnt always hit the switch when let go. The rear brake lights stay on. foot brake works when every now and then when the hand lever catches the switch.I am guessing that it must have driven the previous owner nutts cus they just cut about all the electriucal wires out. Maybe this is part of your problem, It is a think outside the box thing. Mine work fine now. Good luck.
