oking for some help with the rear brake ligh

Looking for a little help with an electrical problem on my 04 widow i changed the lisence plate bracket in the rear and when i reconnected the tail lights and hit the brakes they just continue to flash like hazard lights. Prior to this the lights did flash three times but then stayed on they did not keep flashing. Was wondering if there is some special module on the bike that makes the lights blink. I know a friend of mine put a backoff module on his bike and he could change the flashes on the breaklights to flash different amount of times. Any help please.
