I had the luck of burning up a front wheel bearing and my gas tank starting to leak in the same day. The bearing seized to the axle and I had to cut it off (through the spacers) to remove the wheel. Im making a new axle but wnt to know if you remember the length of spacers that you typically use on the fornt end. Also have repaired the tank but now have the need to blend the paint. Its a 2003 Raider VIN#1V9FV31A93R116088 (MAROON WITH WOODGRAIN ACCENT PANELS). Any help would be appreciated.
Youll need to have the spacers made to fit.
The challenge with the paint is there is no “code”. Each time a frame came in from Daytec (who supplied the frame and oil tank powder coated) we would send the oil bag to the painter. They would mix up a batch of paint to match the oil bag then paint the sheet metal and put graphics on the sheet metal and oil bag, then deliver the whole set back for assembly with the frame. Its all hand matched. Get a good painter, its going to take some work. Iron Horse and Big Dog use the same Daytec frams and base colors, so ask your local dealers who paints their AIH & BDs.
