Hey everyone I’m having an issue with my 04 Raider. I was riding the other day and when i pulled my clutch in to shift it popped. this rsulted in my lever getting loose. when i got home i was thinking that the cable broke but i checked it and it was fine.I pulled the cover off the trans. where the cable goes in and the cable was still connected,so i’m now lost. i noticed that there was a broken clip that has a bunch of teeth facing inward (don’t know what its called)in the cover along with what looked liked needle bearings (about 2 or 3). Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thnx.

Sounds like your throwout bearing and bearing retainer clip. Also check the right clutch pushrod end. It resembles an umbrella. Make sure it hasnt fused itself to the pushrod and that the adjuster at the other end of the pushrond hasnt done the same. Also, if you have any clamps holding the clutch cable to the downtubes make sure they arent overtightend and pinching the cable. If everything looks ok you should be able to just install a throwout bearing kit.
