They were on the bike when I bought it.I personally wouldnt have spent so much for them.Didnt think I would like metal grips, but turned out to be alright. They do get a lot of looks and compliments.
Im not a fan of Billy Lane, and would not personally buy his stuff!
Heres the info from the latest J-P Cycles catalog:
Choppers Inc.
.44 Magnum Grips and rider pegs
Part #s are J-P Cycle, sure you could got to Lanes (Choppers Inc. site for their part # as well )
Page 871- #530-477 $259.99 rider pegs
Page 820- #500-665 $269.99 grips
I will also tell you it looks like whoever installed these on my bike had to grind down the diameter of the bar a little for the throttle grip, and the diameter of the grip where the throttle cables wrap around it seems to be a bit smaller in diameter than most grips.
When I got the bike it had a single cable set up on it. Im sure because of this issue with the diameter.Who would remove nice braided cables for a single black plastic case type?
At any rate,we had to use a spacer on the one cable at the carb end to get enough slack out of the cables for good throttle response.
Hope this helps !….Kent
