got the second cap in the mail today, this one does not fit either !!! so now what, the metal monsters cap and the hotmatch cap are both to wide at the bottom and would not even reach the threads, the original was black on the botton like the hotmatch but did not say hot match on it, the original looked nothing like the metal monsters one >:(

This one has sent me on a journey down “Gas Cap” lane. My former production manager Jim told me Trent from Metal Monsters made some of the caps on his lathe and the threads were matched to the bung. In essence they are one-off caps, what a night-mare. (Remember all the bikes built after I bought the company have stock Harley bungs. Dont hate me.)

I need an imprint of the threads from the cap or the bung. Ideally modeling clay. Ill take the clay mold to Paddy and try to have him make a screw.

The other choice is to cut out the bung and weld in a replacement.
