This is an email I received…
My 2004 Warrior has extreme inside rust inside the gas tank. This poses a potential for system failure if not corrected.
Also, the back finder did not have a protective sleeve around the bottom which resulted in badly chipped paint, taking away from the beauty of the bike.
The tank is going to be an issue as the company that made them (metal monsters) is no longer in business. However, there is a possibility I could get one made for you as I believe the stampings are still available.
But given the fact that they are $1200 + 500 paint. You may want to have yours restored. Basically they peal open the tank from the bottom, then they sand blast the whole thing, re-weld and repaint.
Another less expensive option would be to have the tank treated to remove the rust and then sealed from the inside, its not a perfect solution but would work to isolate fuel from the tank surface.
Rear fenders were made by Russ Wernamont may still be available.
