Editor.038-.042 for the plug gap. Depending on which cap you have it sounds like your seal is missing or the wrong one is installed. Also, you can’t “top off” these chopper tanks. Gas will leak from the cap and the vent tube.

AdministratorJim is correct, the caps are vented so if you top off the tank gas will come out. If it pours out check your gasket.
1) Is it there?
2) Is the cap sealing? To check get a second O-ring and double it up with the gasket. The top of your cap should now sit above the tank the height of the o-ring. If not you may need to use a taller gasket.
