Anyone have info on doing this? I have a 06 Banshee and it has a kill switch to turn the bike on, is there a way I can replace the switch with a key mechanism?
If so please point me in the right direction.
Thanks

Its likely they just replaced the on/off keyswitch with an on/off thumb switch. Assuming they didn’t totally tear up the harness. It should be a simpple swap. Wheres the “kill” switch located?
loop-single-reply.phpNovember 18, 2009 at 8:18 am #2204Located in the panel below my left knee, where do I go to purchase this key?

The small hex bolt will not budge, and I am afraid to round the hex pattern. There is a tiny hole in the bottom of the chrome container, does this somehow allow the hex bolt to turn?
Thanks
Hempsloop-single-reply.phpNovember 19, 2009 at 7:47 am #2209No but they may have put loctite on it. The hole is a drain. Give it a twist. What are the last 6 of your VIn and did your bike have a KPH speedo?
Ask me about the 6 bikes the bastards from Phoenix “stole” from me. By the way, if yours is one of the 6, relax its yours… legally. But I can still tell you a good story.
loop-single-reply.phpNovember 19, 2009 at 8:50 am #2210Amazing response time, wow. Sorry to hear about the bastards here, I bought my bike 2 days ago from a private seller. speedo is in MPH, and 6 of VIN are 116052. I would love to hear the story sometime.
Another 2 questions
1. 2 cycl oil shows on the speedo when I turn the iginition on, but goes away after it starts. Is that normal?2. What are the positions of the fuel valve, on – off – reserve etc? When the fuel valve lever is 90 degrees to the bike what is that?
Thanks again, hope I am not asking to many questions, I do love the bike.

Thats a “boot-up’ sequence. Normal.2. What are the positions of the fuel valve, on – off – reserve etc? When the fuel valve lever is 90 degrees to the bike what is that?
All the way forward off, all the way back on, the center is reserve (about a 3/4 gallon).
Yep, your bike was built to go to Canada… There was a group out of Phoenix that was going to “invest” in Vengeance. 3 months after we signed the deal they decided we “had to move to Phoenix”. They shut down the shop and moved everything, then stopped paying. So I reposessed almost everything and moved it back to CA. They used 6 of my bikes (that were waiting for export to Canada) to finance the deal. The net result was they had no money in the deal and I was out 6 bikes. It was a cluster-fuck. If you ever run into Tim Halmekangas… tell him I said hi.
loop-single-reply.phpNovember 20, 2009 at 9:32 pm #2217Thanks,
Man I am sorry to hear that, if I ever meet Tim, I will let him know.
Where is the drain plug for the oil?Hemps
loop-single-reply.phpNovember 21, 2009 at 7:37 pm #2220There is a braided line that comes out of the bottom of your oil bag it goes straight down and at the other end is a nut/drain plug.
