Need help—riding along on 2005 Banshee and motor started to miss and speedometer went blank—made it about 20 miles and she quit—now turn on ignition and nothing—battery read 14.3 volts. Thanks. Hawkeye

I would say to pull the Electronic Module and make sure all the plugins are making good contact. May be time to get a new module.

I had to redo all the wiring on my 03 Raider. I haven’t had a chance to make a schematic of it yet. Trust me it was a nightmare but after working on it for 5 months I found that alot of the wiring is not as listed so I had to research alot of it. I don’t know if I could make a diagram of it as it was so complicated but I totally understand it now. Some of the wiring for the turn signals were reversed and many of the wires weren’t even needed. I’ll try to make a new schematic but I can’t promise anything because it will take awhile and I’m deep into other projects currently. I’ll try to keep you updated.

It sounds like you have a short somewhere. If memory serves me correctly the speedo is only 2 wires and should not be too difficult to trace down.

Follow up on dead bike—the crimp ring terminal connector on the negative cable at the battery slowly broke off under the plastic insulation—OK now—still would like accurate wiring diagram if available. Hawkeye

Sorry, the only wiring diagram I have is just like the one posted here on this site. I had to rewire my bike and it took forever. Ask away and I’ll try to help.

The primary wiring connection was the flash unit that they had mounted inside the rear wheel fender. This was a major pain in the butt to get too so I moved it into the battery compartment. This took me almost 10 months but I wasn’t in any hurry. I found out that some of the wires they had connected weren’t doing anything and others were not routed properly. After research and tracing the wires to their primary connection I was able to get it all back together. I know I posted that I would try to put up a new diagram but I don’t think I’m going to be able too as I would have to retrace all the wires again. It’s not as difficult as I thought.
