    Check you shifter there is three screws inside cover that gets loose causing this problem.

    I looked at it.
    Are you talking about the 3 screws that are inside the transmission case since it is the only connection to the shifter there is ?
    I’ve never taken a outer cover off or done any kind of work to this kind of motorcycle. This is all new to me.
    Can you recommend any books on this subject or videos.
    Also would you happen to know what brand transmission would be on my 03 Raider ?

    NO I was talking about your shift pedal there is a round cap that screws off and there is three screws in there that comes loose. I used a strap wrench to take mine off. I have had to re-drill mine once and the last time I just replaced it. you can contact me@ Bigr2645@yahoo.com would be happy to walk you thru it.
