3″ enclosed primary? If it’s a closed primary with a dry belt drive and is the stock unit it would be a Primo Brute III system with a 1.5″ belt. You can download the pdf file from Primo Rivera’s site.
loop-single-reply.phpRebuild kits should be available thru QTMi in Anaheim Calif.
loop-single-reply.phpwe used the plunger and rubber cup from part number DS-195047 out of the Drag Specialties catalog. Sometimes you would have to reuse your original plunger or cut down the new one from the kit.
loop-single-reply.phpThe horn was originally mounted on the right side of the bike on the transmission. Check to see that one of the connectors didnt come loose.
loop-single-reply.phpAll the components for the aftermarket v-twins were sourced from the same vendors. We all ended up with the same issues. Chrome is one of those things that’s always gonna be a headache. The trivalent chrome was used on everything and it is nowhere near as good as the hexavalent. Roadmax didn’t move to Japan. the owner of Roadmax went back into the family owned auto business and he sold the remains of Roadmax to a company in Baldwin Park outside of LA. Let me know if you need any trans parts or rebuilds cuz he is the only game in town. All the trans companies went under around 2009 and there hasn’t been any new ones produced since. The only thing left on the market is old inventory.
loop-single-reply.phpWe were never given the year application from Brembo for the calipers. The part numbers are Right – 112-1000 Left – 111-1000 if that helps.
loop-single-reply.phpThe Hot Bike Vindicator was designed and built during my yearlong sabbatical from the JGM regime (the Vengeance dark days) as I recall. Things vastly improved at the end of that dark period.
loop-single-reply.phpGood point. As I recall I tried getting the nacelle or inverted front end on the Vindicator (Vigilante) but was out voted. B)
loop-single-reply.phpThe top tree is twice the thickness of yours which puts it too close to your tank. Chances are it will have clearance in the center position but will hit the tank when turned stop to stop. The inverted front end looks too heavy on a bike with a 250 back tire in my opinion. It’s better suited to a 280-300 back end.
loop-single-reply.phpYes, 2004 Raiders had 12 over legs with 5 degree trees. As far as Vengeance buying raw parts from Pro-One and chroming them, the “easy” answer is yes. Now here’s the “hard” truth. All Pro One wheels were ordered in sets with matching pulleys. They were normally ordered in multiples of different designs depending on what bikes were in production. There were times when we wouldn’t receive our complete order for one reason or another and would get incomplete wheel sets either missing a front or rear wheel or a pulley. Normally this was due to parts not being chromed at the same time. So to keep production going we would keep extra sets in inventory. However, there was an instance when we needed a specific wheel design to ship a couple of bikes and Pro One didn’t have any chromed and we didn’t have any extra on hand. So I went to Pro One and picked up TWO raw front wheels and took them to Pro One’s polisher and chromer and walked them through the process to get the bikes delivered on time. That was the one and only time we did that and we used their vendors. Tsk tsk tsk Pro One.
loop-single-reply.phpRun the clutch cable all the way out until the clutch
lever touches the handlebar grip. Then run the center adjusting screw on the clutch pack in
until it touches the pushrod, back it out 1/4 turn and tighten the jam nut.
Adjust the clutch cable for 1/8” free play. Note: Braided clutch cables
require little or no free play.loop-single-reply.phpThe vacuum caps are fine. I was looking at the top breather tube connecting the rocker boxes and T-ing into the backing plate of the air cleaner. You may want to make sure the top breather bolts are not clogged. The only other thing i can think of would be the check ball in the oil pump isn’t seating properly. This would allow excess oil to seep into the crankcase. This extra oil would be forced out of the bottom vent/breather when the motor is running.
