Probably… they made all our front fenders through 05. I’d give them a call and let then know what you are doing they could give you the width etc.

Sorry I stand corrected you are correct. The Vindicators and Vendettas were 4″ over. The Vendetta with 5 degree tree were 6″ over.

Reach into the hole with a dental pick there is a spring in there you can catch the end and pull it out like a tape worm. The spring goes all the way around the headlight ring and traps the ring in the bucket.

Nice! The heat coming off the motor heats up the key box pretty good. Chances are it was kind of working but you were slowly melting the rest. The lesson is if something weird starts happening with your electrical, chase it down… before you see flames/smoke. Now you are an electrical expert. ๐Ÿ™‚

Are you looking for the little axle cover screw? (Round head , very small) If yes, I’d recommend looking for an industrial bolt supply like McMaster Carr http://www.mcmaster.com.

The trick is to find the short. I’ll get Jim (head Janitor) to chime in.

Good news is its likely a ground short once you find it its cheap and easy to fix. Bad news is finding it. There are two places this is likely to happen and a third possible place. First place I would look is the line going to the turn signals. They go through the swing arm and because of the movement they could rub through. The next place to look is the switches/wires in the handlebars. If that checks out go into the headlight everything gathers there and it a possible suspect. My recommendation is to take to to a shop that does auto electric. MC guys are notorious for not knowing jack about finding shorts.

When you put it back together clamp the brake onto the rotor, this will center the caliper, then install shims as needed and bolt it back together.

Stop riding off curbs…no fat chicks on the back?? (Sorry I couldn’t resist making a wise-a$$ comment its a Holiday weekend.) But seriously, the Daytec frames all came with color-matched shock plates that bolt into the welded-in mounting block in front of the shocks. That’s there to keep from tearing the shock apart if you high-side. I assume there are no trauma marks on the frame so the shock is resisting stretching more than the bolt is resisting breaking. It sounds like you’ve inspected all the culprits… Replace the shocks.
