Time to open up the transmission and take a look at the gear set.
loop-single-reply.phpFor transmission repair/parts call Louie at Active Spring Tech he is the only game in town. His number is 626-962-7779.
loop-single-reply.phpIts most likely a Roadmax (out of business). Later we used Primo-Rivera but those have their name etched on them.
loop-single-reply.phpIts a Drag Specialties part so they should have no problem replacing it.
loop-single-reply.phpSorry old website shopping cart is not working and we have no apparel. ๐
loop-single-reply.phpThere is no such thing. On the hard tails your only choice is a p-pad or a custom seat. –S.
loop-single-reply.phpSorry no crazy stories to add. ๐ Looks like it was born on Tuesday January 4 2005 and registered to its first owner in Deland, FL (outside of Daytona). Black w/ Silver Ghost Flames, 113ci, 6-Speed, 12″ over front-end.
You need to create some memories… send me a pic of it in some really cool spot with a hot chic and I’ll post it on the homepage of the website. ๐
loop-single-reply.phpLooks great! I dig the custom seat. Thanks for posting the pix!
loop-single-reply.phpJeffry so for no response. The VIN dosn’t tell you much about the bike. It does let you know its a 2005, chopper frame. The motor and Trans are not specified in the VIN. What questions do you have?
loop-single-reply.phpIt is from Drag Specialties. I’m not sure if they sell only the lever. I’ll see if I can get Jim to chime in… he’ll know.
loop-single-reply.phpFirst make sure the larger diameter wheel/tire combo will fit in your front fender. It’s likely you will need a different fender. What you don’t want is to have the fender look like an ill fitting hat.
From there the forks are +2″ so you could have them cut down an inch to get the frame level again. My guess is you will spend quite a bit of $$ to start using a 23″ rim. But we’d love to see pix when it done! –S.
loop-single-reply.phpAzure uses a spring to trap the bezel. You take out the front hex nut and fish in the hole with a dental pick you will grab the end of a spring and it pulls out like a tape worm. Its the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen.
loop-single-reply.phpYes the Sugar Bear will work. The trike we built for Rick Allen got a Sugar Bear put on it by a shop in the Valley. Unfortunately I don’t have any pix. I’ve got the full VXC trim sets (Derby, Inspection, Points, Axle covers and Super-G air cleaner trim.) if you want to complete the change.
