Good point. Not a bad idea to check if the starter is actually getting the Amps via the relay. I had to replace the one of the relay’s on my Banshee too. Mine manifested when I was riding the relay got too hot and I lost electrical power. First the speed went out and then the bike shut down. My relay was pressed against the front edge of the key switch box which was very hot from the rear cylinder. New relay and a 1/4″ rubber spacer solved my problem. — Thanks! –S.
loop-single-reply.phpYou would need to check with Spyke they have new owners so I’m not sure if they still offer a rebuild service/kit.

loop-single-reply.phpFirst replace your battery its $100 and if it is older than 2 years old it could have bad cells. Once you know for sure your battery is good then if you are still getting clicking its time to replace the starter. We got them from Spyke.

loop-single-reply.phpSeptember 28, 2018 at 8:38 am in reply to: Horn speedometer and left turn signals do not work. #8590You most likely have a ground short either in the handlebar controls (this is the most common culprit) or inside the headlight (that’s where all of the handlebar wiring is joined before it passes down the backbone.) If those two locations don’t reveal the culprit, you’ll need to chase the ground short which is a slow and tedious process. Anywhere there is exposed wiring could be the location.
Maybe one of the guys on the forum can share their technique for chasing ground shorts. I’ve always had to take my vehicles to an old-school auto electrician as my electrical troubleshooting technique is hunt and peck.
loop-single-reply.phpLooks like we are both 1/2 right… It’s an 05 Widow:
From the option sheet, it also indicates you are correct the seat is the original factory seat. Looks like we shot pics of it with both seats… and here it is:
