We didn’t put inverted forks on these so you’ll need to post a picture. Or find out who made the forks.
loop-single-reply.phphum… I’ll bet the 427 Cobra wasn’t very good for commuting to work either. Ride it and enjoy it.
loop-single-reply.phpi have been going for the past five years and i have never put less than 500 miles on my bike during the week. Everything is so spread out you gotta ride. ๐
loop-single-reply.phpwell guys i got my starter back from Spyke today and put it in, bike fired right up, i at first thought there was a problem somewhere else but after installing the rebuilt starter this was def the problem. ๐
loop-single-reply.phpI just received my banner from Stephen but have yet to hang, but yours looks great in your garage. ๐
loop-single-reply.phpMe too.I’m kickin’ myself for not getting a leather jacket when I could ! [smiley=angry.gif] [smiley=angry.gif]
loop-single-reply.phpThe banner looks good in your shop. Im still hangin and hopin that some branded clothes become available. ๐
loop-single-reply.phpThats not too uncommon.Lot of folks get customs think its gonna feel like thier Harley and cant take the vibes.Personally,I can do 3-400 miles + a day on mine.Gloves help a lot,I dont notice the vibes thru the bars myself.
High performance bikes are like high performance cars.Usually not gas and go,so its not for everybody.Me……..I love em !!! ย ๐loop-single-reply.phpI traded my 05 banshee yesterday to a harley dealer sence there is no resale value on them they would only give me 10500 trade in an after they got it an road it they told me if they would of road it first they would never of done the deal luckly the paper work was already done I got a 09 electra glide standered. The Vengance are great looking bikes but very high maint as you can see in this forum.
loop-single-reply.phpIt actually never came off of eBay, it was there all along.
I went and rode the bike yesterday and I guess I was very naive about how these bikes ride. They are awesome to look at and sit on, and feel great to ride at low speeds around town, run great too, but as soon as you get on the freeway the vibration though the handlebars is huge, to a point where you cant see out of the rear view mirrors and the front forks feel like theyre about to separate from the bike. Im told by the shop that his is normal with a ridged mount motor. Unfortunately there is no way Id be able to take that for long periods. I like to do long rides up in the mountains on weekends, sometimes Ill put on 500 miles or more in a day, this bike would shake me to pieces.
I really do love the bike and Im bummed about not buying it yesterday (had the money right there with me ready to ride it away), but if I bought it Id be limited to bar hopping in town, and when its 120 degrees outside that aint fun, you have to get away up in to the mountains where its cool in summer here in Arizona.
Unless anyone knows a way to rubber-mount the engine on this bike or get it to run smoother; it looks like its not for me (Im serious, I would pay a significant amount of money to get this bike more ride-able).Thanks for all your help and advice folks,
Mark
loop-single-reply.phpSame here.Craftsman has done me fine for ages.I only lift the bike enough to turn the forks. And,I have to stand the bike up straight to push the jack under it.
DO NOT buy the newer version Sears sells, its not very stable.I bought one a couple years ago,and after putting my 02 Heritage Springer on it…..I put it back in the box and returned it.Get the older style red/black with the screw down stabilizers on it.Good stand for the $$$$loop-single-reply.phpBet you have some beautiful riding when it warms up though!
