That bike was on e-Bay recently.Looks sweet! Love that front fender. The oil out the breather tube isn’t abnormal, especially if it’s not run in a while.Good luck with it,looks great !!!

    Hi,

Went down and had them fire this bike up, sounds nice, only problem was that it left a huge pool of oil just under the right hand side of the bike (looks like it came out of a breather or something), the guy said that it was normal that it did that when its been stood for a while. Ive never seen that normal on any bike Ive had in the past.

Is that to be expected or is something amiss there?

Look in Drag Specialties catalog under “cheap-ass crankcase breather” DS289515 buy two. They are glued together sometimes the lady putting them together runs out of glue.

They are cheap, this post proves it. ย

I rode down to Jims house (aka Head Janitor, one of the founders of Vengeance and my go-to technical guy.) a couple weeks ago and he said “the bike looks great, does the speedo still work?” Yes. ๐Ÿ™‚

Mines a 2003 retrofitted with a 2005 Dakota Digital with the tach. After the conversion, I had several shorts in my handle bars before we got it right. Now it gives me no trouble.

Mark sent me photos of the bike. Its one of the few that got out of the factory without being photographed. So here it is…

It looks like the only thing that was changed is the intake. The one thing to remember is these intakes can make your bike run hot if you dont rejet the carb and set the timing properly. You are in AZ so have a local shop do it that knows the drill.

For those of you who are purists, check out the front fender. This is not the same fender used on most of the Raiders. Its got a little kick at the bottom like the Big Bear choppers. Somehow we got a few of these fenders, there are maybe 2-3 bikes out there with this setup.

Other than that at $18.5K this looks pretty sweet. (We paid more than that for the parts.)

Suggest you shop a bit….there are bargains. The trick is, no matter which platter you go for, you’ll need to set up a bit of a ramp for your front tire, (and rear if need be), elevated so that the jack will clear. Most jacks come with a rubber liner on the lift arms…I like to add some carpet pad for the right reasons. The lifts really are a fine addition…..puttin’ a shine on is way easier. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
