    Hi

Some times my banshee with the same motor is had to start when its cold.Try pushing down on the decompression release in the center of the heads.Sometimes you only have to push down on the rear one. Also,if it is stone cold make sure you give it three good pumps of the throttle.Avoid using the choke if possible. It only loads the bike up and fouls the plugs. You may have to pumpit twice more if it doesnt start immediately.Anyhow, perhaps you have a decompression release not working.Try the manual push see what happens.

Stock gas cap threads wont match. The legacy of these caps comes from Matt Hotchs Hotmatch gas cap. A few 03/04 Vengeance bikes have the actual Hotmatch caps.

Most 04/05 have a derivative made by Metal Monsters in Long Beach. Trent at MM was a former West Coast Chopper employee who went in to the tank business and later morphed into Metal Motorsports who make the Foose wheels. Trent got “distracted” along the way and Metal Monsters is no more and Metal Motorsports isnt in the sheetmetal and/or gas cap business.

Last year we had a cap made that will fit the MM tanks and it has wider threads thank the original. That may solve your problem.

First however, get in there with a mag light an a dental pick and make sure there is nothing in the threads. A little piece of tank sealer will cause the cap to bind and make it impossible to turn.

If you need a cap they are $195. (I know its crazy.)

After 05 we went to less sexy standard thread caps that are cheap, unfortunately its an entirely different bung.

Appletini Green, Gold Ghetto Flake, Blood Red Shredder Pinstripes. I remember this bike it is a work of art and a one of a kind. I love the license plate.

Glad to see that you have started this site for owners, and sorry about the, hopefully, temporary demise of the company, and of your personal and financial loss. I well remember the travails with your former partner-the safe maker, who appied his experience with safes to motorcycles, just paint it gray and ship it out. I still own and ride the rather notorious 2004 Raider bought from DC Cruisers in Gaithersburg, Maryland, which is now out of business again, after its second or third owner. I have a technical question about gas caps that I will post on the tech side, but again, thanks for setting up this site. Walt

Thats a rotor made by Brembo (if the rivits are smooth on the outside and held on by e clips on the back) or by Ride Wright of the rivits are indented on the outside. I would recommend a Brembo rotor 2 piece as they are the best and will perform perfectly with your Brembo caliper.

    Thanks.
Already lost the turn signals back there.
I was also thinking about making a beefy sissy bar to add some support.
But I like the strap idea.
Are you recomending 1/4″ plate, for the strap?
Or can I go thinner (1/8-3/16s) something in that neighborhood.
    Thx,
    RH

Ah the super rare “nobody knows what color it is” we had a run of three bikes ordered as Candy Red the powdercoater was in outterspace and returned three frames that were not red and not orange. Zeak matched the paint and youve got a one-of-a-kind. Really.

For those of you asking for paint codes. Sorry. They dont exist. Each paint job was Hand matched by Zeak to the powdercoat on the oil bag.

There are about 12 Vengeance bikes with a “frame” VIN on the neck and a VIN on the title. The downtube sticker will have both numbers. Everyone else has a VIN on the motor mount cross bar.

Does the bike still have the downtube sticker? If not you need to find out from DMV who in Texas can verify the VIN. I can work with whoever does the verification to provide the documentation. So you can get the title straightened out.
