The compression releases are electronic (they are in those holes in your rocker box covers). I am not aware of any manual release mechanism.

Thank you for the response. We use the trickle charger all the time as suggested, but three years is not to to long for a battery. It is an S&S 113ci and isnt it possible to release the compression by hand ?

I own a 05 Teacher and live in Kentucky. The appeal goes far. Its an eye catcher and most of all a primo built bike. Look foward the resurgence of Vengeacne! Can we still buy Vengeance T-shirts, and parts that say Vengeance?

    (1) If you had a nut come off… check the spacer. Im not kidding.

    (2) If you are convinced its the inner primary, you can get a new inner primary for around $250. The thing is these are all cast and usually do not vary (but I guess it could happen.)

    (3) As Primo indicated the belts do vary, but if youve tried three… When trouble shooting demons its best to go one component at a time.

It wont get you kicked off.

With respect to your belt drive… if the nut is coming off it may not be the belt, Check the offset spacer. The “book” dimension for the 250 LSD drive primary spacer is 1.4375″ check the dimension and have the spacer remachined if it is any wider. Also you need to make sure the nut is properly torqued.

    From our line QC Checklist
    65. Main Shaft Nut (@ 185 ft lbs • Red Loctite)

Finally, our dealer in Corona, CA swears if you grind the powdercoating off the charging system rotor the nut will grab more threads and not become loose from gradual compression of the powdercoat. We were not convinced… but it dosnt hurt to do it.

FYI – I ride a 2003 Vendetta with a 1.4 spacer and have never had a main nut come off. IMHO its the spacer, check it.

For those of you who are looking for technical documentation this will be interesting…

As a Vengeance owner…and a rider of over 40 years……I too am glad youve started this forum. Needless to say….the reality of what happened to Vengeance is a dissappointment and concern for all of us owners. I keep hearing the the company is …”coming back…” and with a Vengeance!! Well……I hope so. I shopped for several years befor acquiring this Vindicator of mine. And honestly, when I saw it, it was Love at First Sight!. So…..I hope to see the company go the way of the Phoenix…and rise from the ashes!! Im sure everyone would benefit. I wish Mr. Sharp all the best. And to other the other 999 Vengeance owners out there……safe riding and longevity in life!
