Yes a HD mechanic will be able to obtain S&S parts. If not you will need to source them through the mail… these guys ship globally:

Its an S&S 113 cubic inch engine. Gaskets etc can be purchased from an S&S dealer.

Did you have a head bolt pull? This can be a result of an overheated engine and result in blowing a head gasket. If that is the case you should have the engine shop install time-certs in the block. Certs are stronger than heli-coils and will give you a longer engine life.

The fad is gone, but the style lives on. These modern “Turn of the Century” choppers are in the same class of the 100’s of little motorcycle manufacturers building mc’s in the late 1890’s and early 1900’s. It was an amazing point-in-time that will not be repeated for another 100 years (if ever).

For now, ride ’em, Love ’em and save ’em. Your grandchildren will inherit an amazing piece of American history. I still get thumbs-up whenever I ride.

Daytec built all the frames and supplied the Oil bags. The caps never had a dip stick.

Yes… its the rear mounting bracket for your oil bag. There would have been 2 1/4-20 lock nuts that came off to let that fall out. Look under your oil tank/bag in the back where the rubber battery tie down comes through. you should see 2 lonely 1/4-20 bolts.

Our early bikes had the fuses back there with the flash module and some in the key switch box. Later bikes had all the fuses in a larger square key switch box.

The biggest thing to watch for is the length of the cables. Other than that it’s a straight forward swap.
