The Rock-n-Country charity ride from Thousand Oaks to the Tim McGraw / Big & Rich show was a great success with riders from all over the Los Angeles, Riverside & Orange County areas convening in Thousand Oaks. The ride was lead by the Vengeance show rig Nemesis followed by Rick Allen in a new convertible Chevrolet SSR hotrod pick-up truck. Following the lead vehicles was a pack of Vengeance choppers ridden by celebrities including a member of Big & Rich’s band, TV personalities from American Thunder and Vengeance factory staff. The lead-pack was followed by bikes of all makes and models as the ride was open to all riders.
The ride concluded in Devore and made quite a stir at the concert venue when all these high-profile choppers rolled-in. Several of the Vengeance bikes were invited to park back stage and were admired by the musicians and staff backstage. Tim McGraw was spotted playing basketball with his band mates and was later interviewed by Speed Channel’s American Thunder crew who was filming the entire event for airing later this fall. Tim, (Big) Kenny and John (Rich) were all interviewed and expressed thanks to Vengeance for joining them in supporting the Raven Drum Foundation. Later in the show that evening Big Kenny thanked the riders in attendance for supporting the charity providing opportunities for disadvantaged kids. This drew a big response from the riders and show-goers alike.
Overall the weather was perfect, everyone on the ride arrived without a mechanical hitch, the BBQ beef and chicken was outstanding and the show was as-expected terrific. What more could you ask for and it was all for a good cause!
