Rock fans worldwide are familiar with Def Leppard’s incredible drummer Rick Allen. At Vengeance, we have had the honor to get to know the man behind the legend. Vengeance has participated in several Rock-n-Country rides with Rick and Vengeance dealer Mike Cavinder of Classic American Motorcycles of Thousand Oaks, CA. Last summer Mike approached us about helping him put together a trike for Rick. Due to the fact that Rick lost his left arm in an auto accident posed several challenges beyond the typical trike conversion.

What do you do on a humid weekend in October when the 22nd hurricane of the season is barreling down on you? You go for a ride! Biketoberfest this year was met with clear skies and humid air all weekend. But even as our show rig Nemesis rolled into Daytona all they could talk about on the news was “Wilma” the next in a year-long string of storms that made 2005 the worst hurricane season on record. And here we were rolling in for a 3-day rally wondering if we were going to be waist deep in water before the end of the rally. Being the hearty souls that we are we unpacked the truck, set up the canopy and rolled out the bikes!
Vengeance joined Hot Bike Magazine and Kerri Kasem for the 5th Annual Mid-State Rally held in Paso Robles, CA. The weather over the weekend was beautiful and the Mid-State Fairgrounds was filled with vendors and rally participants who were able to camp right on the grounds of the show. Attendance was strong and the vendors were busy all weekend while bands performed on the main stage and the smell of bar-b-que tri-tip filled the air.
This year Vengeance brought the Nemesis show rig back to Sturgis, SD for another great rally. The new bikes brought out several stars including country recording artist James Otto who was headlining at the Broken Spoke and Keith Anderson who was opening for Tim McGraw at the Buffalo Chip. Keep an eye on American Thunder for the ride we went on with Keith and his friends.
The Vengeance Maxis combines the best of the Warrior, Raider, Bone Crusher & Banshee into one bike. The geometry of this soft-style chopper 6” up 2” out, 40◦ of rake with a 12” over front-end. The drive-train features an S&S 113ci and Primo-Rivera RSD 6-Speed transmission. The rear 280 Series tire and front 120/70-21 tires make this bike look massive from every angle. Everything on the Maxis is big, but this bike rides tighter and stronger than many smaller bikes.
