My shocks have no more bushings. 06 vengenance maxis softail. Any recommendations to find out the bushings?
they appear to be wide on the outsides, and narrow at the center.
starting to look at a new set of shocks. Saw some 2” O.D. Adjustable shocks for $100 a pair in drag specialties.
any suggestions feedback or original shock part#?

also, trying to find correct kickstand spring size. I have tried 3 (4”-4-1/4”-if i remember correctly) and they keep snapping at the hook, and i gotta catch the kickstand and hold in place with my heel till i canpull over and tie it up in place and try again 🤦♂️
loop-single-reply.phpApril 6, 2023 at 2:43 pm #13454Unfortunately, I do not know the answer about the shock bushings. You’ll have to pull the shock and let us know. We used the Drag Specialties Chrome Kickstand Springs. The 3.9″ is DS-233679
loop-single-reply.phpApril 7, 2023 at 9:19 am #13455Thanks so much. I ordered the 2” diameter adjustable shocks from Drag. I appreciated the kickstand spring info Stephan!
loop-single-reply.phpApril 7, 2023 at 9:26 am #13456actually, just found out the 2” skinnier diameter shocks leak easier than the wide body, so we stayed with the bigger diameter style shocks. $120 a pair!
loop-single-reply.phpApril 20, 2023 at 10:25 am #13461Do you have a part number for the shocks you went with? I have one that’s been leaking on my Banshee and I would like to replace them. Thank you.

loop-single-reply.phpJune 9, 2023 at 11:12 pm #13479@white -The shocks I ordered came from Mid-USA motorcycle parts and the part number is 29096. They are adjustable shocks which will allow you to change the stance up to 1-1/2″ lower, up to an 1/2″ higher. To tighten pre-load, the shock canister gets rotated counter clockwise & to reduce preload rotate the shock canister clockwise. There is a weird dual pronged wrench I got off Amazon Prime for $13 for the shock canisters, but I had to grind it the wrench prongs thinner to get them to fully fit the canister holes)
The shocks I removed, have what I assume is a part # on them which reads 55001-002c. And under that it reads 10/04, so maybe they were manufactured in OCT 2004 – but I don’t know that for sure. I am also not the first owner of the bike, so I cannot even say they are the “off the line” product that was originally installed.
loop-single-reply.phpJuly 1, 2023 at 7:58 am #13491@white just so you are aware. I have an 06 maxis. The part # i provided above had to be tightened to a very stiff ride, and the adjustable rods shortened down to the max, because i have a 300mm rear tire (metzger marathon 888) and i was hitting on the inside of the rear fender. Maybe i could have shimmed the fender up a little, but i just messed with ahock adjustments until i was able to get enough clearance with my wife on the back.
