Vengeance Redefines Old-School with the Rolling Bones Bobber

May 1, 2004 vengeance

Vengeance Rollin Bones

Rolling Bones is old school chopper built in the classic California kustom kruiser hot-rod style. This bike features a soft-tail Daytec frame with a 2″ backbone stretch, 2″ down-tube stretch and 37 degree rake with a 4″ over retro springer front-end.

The bike includes chubby 18″ ape-hanger handlebars, a Maltese-cross drop mirror, a a classic sporty tank, chrome oil bag, Sampson pipes and a hard-tail style drag fender. The bike is finished in retro flat-black with red & white beatnik style pinstripes. The tank features a custom airbrushed pin-up girl on with a pair of rolling dice on the rear fender.

This retro-style bike breaks from the norm by featuring a state of the art drive-train. Starting with an S&S 113ci engine mated to a 6-Speed “kicker” transmission all rolling on red powder-coated 60-spoke wire rims with an Avon 250 on the back and a 21″ chopper tire on the front. Dual front and Single rear Brembo disc brakes complete the package provide the stopping power on this incredible blend of modern muscle and retro-styling.

This bike was completed in early June 2004 and was ridden from the Vengeance factory to the West Coast Super Show show Saturday June 5th in Irvine, CA. where the bike received rave reviews from show participants and spectators alike.

John G. McDonnell President & CEO of Vengeance remarked. “The Rolling Bones bike is a departure from our production bikes that are all polish & chrome. This bike truely reflects the hotrod bike heritage of our team of builders. Butch Madole, Ted Metcalf, Dale Madole, DJ Bowers, Stephen Sharpe and the rest of the team brought this bike together and really created quite a stir. Its fun for all of us to get to do these types of one-off projects.” When asked if this bike was scheduled for production Mr. McDonnell responded. “We always gauge the reaction to our special projects and if our customers and dealers are enthusiastic, we will respond to their desires. Bottom line if the customers want them, we’ll make it happen.”

The Rolling Bones bike will be shown at a few of the rallies and then made available for sale through one of the Vengeance dealers nationwide.
