Vengeance Raven built for Chad Kroeger of Nickelback

October 9, 2006 vengeance

Sturgis 2006 will go down in history for many reasons but to the crew at Vengeance, it will be remembered as the week of stars. Early in the week Vengeance was treated to a visit from country stars Keith Urban and Troy Gentry (of Montgomery Gentry) who stopped by to take a ride into downtown Sturgis. Next, the truck was visited by a film crew who were doing a documentary on Sturgis and the host was Adam Gaynor the guitar player from Matchbox 20. Then later in the week, Bryan Hitt the drummer from REO Speedwagon came by to find a partner to go with him on the Deadwood loop through Spearfish Canyon. But the week was topped off when Chad Kroeger spotted a Vengeance Trike backstage and said: “can you build me one?” The answer, of course, was yes and the bike build was underway.

Chad specified a butane blue real fire paint scheme with black reverse tribal flames and blue pinstripe. For the powertrain, the bike was equipped with a TP 124ci motor and Primo-Rivera 6-speed tranny. Vengeance fitted the trike with a center rear fender, 2-up seat, sissy-bar and pegs so Chad could take along a passenger. Finally, the whole thing was finished off with a set of custom Weld Wheels in full chrome.

Stephen Sharpe President of Vengeance Motorcycles said: “This was a great launch to our 2007 line-up this bike looks and rides incredibly and we expect Chad will have plenty of volunteers to sit in the passenger seat.” The build took approximately eight weeks to complete from start to finish. So if you’re out riding and you see a bad black trike rolling down the road it may just be a rock star taking in a little relaxation time.

The Raven is a 3-wheeled chopper is based on the Vengeance Maxis with an impressive Mystery Design rear-end. The technology on this suspension is unsurpassed in the industry and performs as great as it looks. For 07 the Raven includes a TP124, 6-Speed transmission, and dual 280 rear tires. Vengeance is looking forward to building quite a few of these bikes due to the increasing popularity of radical trikes.
